    Default Don't understand why my profit is minus

    I recently placed an order for 2 AAPL stocks (mainly for testing purposes) but don't understand why my profit is -$18.60.

    Attached is a screenshot from my Webtrader.

    Any idea why that's happening?

    When you buy after hours it shows your P/L vs what the price closed at for that day. You bought at a higher price than the close. It will readjust when the market opens. Your actual P/L is not effected.

    It says now +$14.00. I've attached an image. But I still don't understand that. Now if I close the order I will have a profit of $14? And why haven't I bought the stock?

    You did buy something. You bought .20 lot of what looks to be some kind of option, so you control 20 shares. As calculated from 98.50 every $1 AAPL goes up, you make $20. So anything above that price would be considered profit and anything below that price a loss.
