    Default Exit strategy question

Just curious as what everyones exit strategy on a stock is? More specifically, how do you calculate a max price of a breakout? Ive been using a strategy I call 10/30 rule. -10% stop and exit at a gain of 30% .

Maybe Im a newbie but it seems many of the stock I pick just dips around 50% so 30% seems like a good time to exit with a good profit. I put a stop at 10% under the last ask price so that just incase i miss the 30% or I let the stock rise even higher, I still exit with a good amount of profit.

    1. You can't calculate how high it will go because you don't know how many traders are chasing it or for how long they'll do it.

    2. If that works for you, then stay with it. Everybody has different goals and different risk tolerance.

I see. I thought maybe some people might have a way to actually get a better insite of how much more it would break out. I guess its just experience. thanks
