Dynegy Inc., through its subsidiaries, engages in the production and sale of electric energy, capacity, and ancillary services in the United States. It sells electric energy, capacity, and ancillary services on a wholesale basis from its natural gas-fired, coal-fired, and oil-fired power generation facilities. As of May 7, 2009, the company’s power generation portfolio consisted of approximately 17,700 megawatts of baseload, intermediate, and peaking power plants fueled by a mix of natural gas, coal, and fuel oil. Its customers include regional transmission organizations, independent system operators, integrated utilities, municipalities, electric cooperatives, transmission and distribution utilities, industrial customers, power marketers, other power generators, commercial end-users, and financial participants, such as banks and hedge funds. The company was founded in 1985 and is based in Houston, Texas.

I got impatient and wanted to lock in profits and put it into another trade (which, I recall, I lost money on).
