What are you buying before earnings?

AMD, INTC, SNDK, YHOO, TPX, CAT, C, GOOG, EBAY, IBM, JNJ, KO, MSFT, MO

Two for the following week are EMC and AAPL

I won't be buying before earnings. I'm probably buying some shares of LVS, MIND or NTAP and maybe FCX after their earnings report. I also want APLX to pullback, so I can buy some shares(should have bought at $14).

I wouldn't bet on AMD or YHOO. KO's earnings might take a hit due to them buying Vitamin Water. MSFT has problems with their gaming hardware. I think INTC, CAT, EMC and AAPL should do OK. TPX conference call should be interesting. You wonder how the housing market decline will effect them. Good luck on your picks.

MSFT is expected to take a small hit due to repair costs of the Xbox 360, and Vista sales being somewhat below expectations, but they usually make so much money that little screwups don't hurt them too much.

MO is showing strong resistance at 72, how much do you expect it to go up?

CAT is also paying a dividend this week.

I keep watching T for a rise on iPhone hype, but it doesn't seem to be happening. Earnings are on July 24.
