Every investor in his portfolio has a number of shares that have been delisted from BSE/NSE, these investments are considered dead and have resulted in huge losses to these Investors.

To counter this problem and to provide liquidity to delisted shares we have launched on 17th July 2013, the first Auction site for Unlisted Shares in India www.unlisted-shares.com (http://www.unlisted-shares.com). On this site an Investor can put up for auction delisted shares in demat /physical form and recover their investment in these shares.

Our trading platform is unique, after an auction is over, the winning bidder is informed to make a Demand Draft in the name of the seller, and send the draft to us. We verify the authenticity of the demand draft and ask the seller to transfer the shares to the demat account of the buyer. Upon confirmation of the receipt of the shares we send the demand draft to the seller.

By using the above system, both the buyer and the seller are secured against fraudulent transactions while we charge a commission on the final value of the Auction, listing on the site is Free.

As an introductory offer, upon information by a user, we will list their shares ourself and save them the effort to do so.We are committed to increase and facilitate selling and buying of unlisted shares and help our users recover their dead investments.

In the first 3 weeks of the launch, our website has more than 50 Auctions running and about 1500 visitors.

I've seen a few companies that are delisted. That doesnt mean they cant have a few shares left in public. People often assume that once a company is delisted its share are value less. But sometimes companies after delisting increase their dividends a hell lot. And shareholders still get those dividends. There is a very big black market for delisted shares. But its a slow procedure to buy and sell shares.
