[I have a close friend of mine who is in Germany and he gave me an idea of trying some investment over there. he also owes me some money, so I asked him to invest in there. He gave me some names and I will try to come up with more information on them]

Continental tires are a well known name in the automotive world. They are going to be enlisted in DAX index.

I did some primary research on this company. As I heard, Conti is going to be in DAX index. Now there are 30 members under this DAX index. Continental is going to be a sponsor of World Cup 2014, too http://www.stockrants.com/forum/web/smilies/grin.png

Continental (Conti) has several strategic business groups under its umbrella. Continental group enjoys backing by Schaeffler group. Schaeffler has aided Continental's powertrain division to bounce back. After extremely successful quarters, Continental has aimed for bigger target of €32.5 billion in sales. The sales figure of 2011 was better than that of 2010. In the recent times,

Continental has gained trust from automakers like Fiat/Chrysler as they are going to put Conti's infotainment system in their production cars made in Czech Republic and Mexico.

I was watching some trade videos on The Contrarian Trader blog and found some great videos. His analysis was really good and be being new I got a lot out of them. I watched his older videos and his calls were accurate as well. I know there are a bunch of guys that pick stocks and send alerts but the contrarian trader puts himself out there to prove himself unlike other so called pros. Does anyone know of his paid services? Continental shares worth 1.6 billion euro were made available by Schaeffler which is the biggest stakeholder of the tire company. This will allow Shaeffler to bring down the total debt from 5.1 billion to 3.5 billion euro.

The sell would provide extra 5 euro per share for Schaeffler. (the price they paid was 75 euro and the current sale is at 80 euro). In recent past, Continental put a solid performance, regained share price and came back to DAX. However, there was a shake when the news of this huge sale was made public. But, the share price bounced back. After all, the Shaeffler's acquisition of Continental Tires proved to be a good investment.
