Norsk Hydro, a great value stock.

Norsk Hydro is, after it's demerger with statoil, mainly a corperation opperating in building materials, alluminium, renewable energy and hydro dam opperation, maintainance & construction. Their hydro dams are partly used for their Aluminium opperations, so to make them energy independant.

Norsk Hydro, a Norwegian company, is a large cap with over 20.000 employee's. It's a value stock, trading below it's price, or atleast having a high EPS compared to stock price. The company has also a very nice dividens, and often rewards it's investor's with special dividend's, dividends are also increasing the longer you hold the stock.

Norsk Hydro, as of Q3 figure's still, has 2.52$ EPS for a stock price of 14$. (ticker: NHY) ,wich gives them a P/E of around 5.
If you wonder what happened to the stock in november, know that the downlevel there came trough demerger, nothing of real trouble there. The stock is performing well trough the crisis. Last quarter was somewhat below expectations, but the company kinda resolved that by giving an extra dividend.

The company has a very solid and competitive bussiness model. Norway should be largly unaffected by the USA credit crisis. Investing in the company in Norwegian crowns, especially as US citizin, should be a good idea.

The company is btw. over 100 years old. Survived dozens of crisises and the 29 stock crash. In ww2 it had the only heavy water plant in axis territory, thus being the centre of German nuclear ambition, and being repeaditly attacked by Brittish commando's.

Disclaimer. I continue to hold a Long position in the company. I like the company a lot, for it's bussiness model, for it's attractive valuation, it solid dividend's, and the fact that it's Norwegian.
