What happened to the BP oil spill damage?

Two years ago, we were told by environmental groups that this was going to do irreparable damage to the marine and marsh environments. I was curious, so today I started searching around for a recent benchmark of the damage that exists. I couldn't find anything.

Anybody have any links to share that are recent?

The BP story quickly faded away, as there was were no evil oil companies, no wait, there was one... The BP story quickly faded away because there was just a little bit of oil spilled, no wait, there was a LOT... The BP story quickly faded away because there were no evil right wing, Halliburton loving Bushes to blame! Yeah, that's the ticket.
