just curious as to what online trade companies u use and what they run per transaction...thanks in advance

Scottrade $7.00
Ameritrade $9.95
Etrade $14.95
TD Waterhouse $17.95

I use them all but find that Scottrade offers the best value and good research. TD Waterhouse has solid research offerings. I'm indifferent with Etrade and Ameritrade. I just hope that when TD Waterhouse becomes TD Ameritrade that they reduce their commission.

I'm a big fan of Scottrade as well. $7.00 per trade with good customer service, research, and platform.

Scottrade, $7, limit orders included. Happy, so haven't checked others.

Actually, Ameritrade is $10.95. I opened a Scottrade account as well for the cheaper trades. I like Ameritrade's research better.

There's also BrownCo, which is dirt cheap for market ($5), but they charge $10 for limit orders. They also have a $15k minimum balance.
