    Default Day Trading

I would like to know the stocks you like to do this with. I have been using AMZN - LNKD - PCLN - and GOOG looks good to me but I have never traded it. I have had several long positions and I am gradually taking profits off of them and mostly plan to just day trade.

Something like AMZN would probably be something someone might day trade the options for, either long (calls) or short (puts). Not sure if you are familiar with options or not. Most of us "retail traders" don't have millions of dollars where we will feel comfortable buying 500 shares of Amazon or something like that, risking $140,000 for a day trade. Most day traders I know don't tend to buy anything over $50 a share.(some don't even go over $10) If they do trade in those companies, they trade options.

My favorite book for day trading is a bit dated, as you can tell in the section about trading platforms, but it is chocked full of great teaching. It's "A Beginners Guide to Day Trading Online" by Toni Turner: http://www.amazon.com/Beginners-Guid.../dp/1593376863

As far as options trading goes, I sometimes day trade those based on momentum, just like I would a stock, but they can be very complex trading tools if you're into that. Not sure if this one is best or not, but I learned from the book "Options for the Beginner and Beyond" by W. Edward Olmstead : http://www.amazon.com/Options-Beginn.../dp/0132655683

Thanks for the info. Will look into them. Had a good day here, over 300 dollars profit.
