    Default Positive Day for Our Stocks

    The stock market indices had a mixed session today, but we had a spectacular day as most of the stocks at TheTechTrader.com did extremely well today. The market gapped up and hit their highs early in the session, and backed and filled all day until afternoon.

    The S&P 500 was in a downward slant as the Nasdaq 100 held support on a sideways slant, with holding support all session. They bounced at the end of the day and tried to retest the highs but fell short, and then rolled over on the NDX, but the S&P 500 was far short off the highs.

    Net on the day, the Dow was down 40.39 at 15,636.55. The S&P 500 was down 3.18 at 1722.34. The Nasdaq 100 was up 6.30 at 3237.34.
    Advance-declines were almost 3 to 2 negative on the New York Stock Exchange, and 13 to11 negative on Nasdaq. Up/down volume was just under 2 to 1 negative on New York, with total volume of 725 million shares. Nasdaq traded 1.7 billion plus and had a 4 to 3 positive volume ratio.

    TheTechTrader.com board was a very mixed day. Priceline Inc. (PCLN) was up 5.53 to 1000.62, and Apple Inc. (AAPL) up 7.62 to 472.30.

    Tesla Motors, Inc. (TSLA) jumped 11.70 to 177.92, reaching a new all-time high at 180.47. Onyx Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (ONXX) ran 1.23 to 124.53.

    The ExOne Company (XONE) was up 3.00 to 54.26, Aegerion Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (AEGR) up 3.44 to 87.50, swing trade Celldex Therapeutics, Inc. (CLDX) 1.84 to 28.60, 3D Systems Corp. (DDD) 1.34 to 54.99,

    Checking the TheTechTrader.com leaderboard, FAB Universal Corporation (FU) was up 1.74 to 8.92, or 24%, on 3.5. Prospect Global Resources, Inc. (PGRX) ran 1.11 to 4.82, or 30%, on 1.5 million shares. Kandi Technolgies Group, Inc. (KNDI) gained 1.21 to 6.70, or 22% on 7.7 million shares. Shippers had a good day today. Eagle Bulk Shipping, Inc. (EGLE) advanced 1.66 to 7.06, or 31%, on 5.5 million shares. Frontline Ltd. (FRO) gained 45 cents to 3.10, or 17%, on 4.9 million shares. Medgenics, Inc. (MDGN) ran 89 cents to 6.29, or 16%, on a half million shares.

    Rite Aid Corporation (RAD) popped 87 cents to 4.58, or 24%, on 114 million shares. GTX Inc. (GTXI) bounced 33 cents to 2.23, or 17%, on 3 million shares. Adept Technology Inc. (ADEP) closed up 66 cents to 6.56, or 11%. GT Advanced Technologies Inc. (GTAT) climbed 80 cents to 8.35, or 11%, on 19 million shares.

    Other stocks of note included Isis Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (ISIS), which was a big winner today, up 4.47 to 36.27, Responsys, Inc. (MKTG) up 1.69 to 18.00, Enanta Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (ENTA) up 2.33 to 24.75, Gogo Inc. (GOGO) up 1.56 to 18.01, Groupon, Inc. (GRPN) 1.03 to 12.59, and Repros Therapeutics Inc. (RPRX) 2.13 to 28.10.

    Stepping back and reviewing the hourly chart patterns, the indices were up early, they consolidated with a downward slant on the S&P 500, but held support midday on the Nasdaq 100, which kind of supported the S&P 500 as well. They rallied late in the day, only to pull back again in the last forty-five minutes to finish mixed on the session.
