Something like AMZN would probably be something someone might day trade the options for, either long (calls) or short (puts). Not sure if you are familiar with options or not. Most of us "retail traders" don't have millions of dollars where we will feel comfortable buying 500 shares of Amazon or something like that, risking $140,000 for a day trade. Most day traders I know don't tend to buy anything over $50 a share.(some don't even go over $10) If they do trade in those companies, they trade options.
