Who is your favourite director in film?
For me it has to be the Christopher Nolan.
It's hard to single out just one, because there are many others who deserve praise. Having said that my Top-10 is as follows (for this moment at least):
Stanley Kubrick
Martin Scorsese
Steven Spielberg
The Coen Brothers
Paul Thomas Anderson
David Fincher
Christopher Nolan
My boy Christopher Nolan.
Akira Kurosawa is my platonic ideal of a good film director.
Andrei Tarkovsky is even better than that when he is at his peak.
Yasuhiro Ozu is the antithesis of what I look for in a film and I still find it hard to deny his greatness.
Orson Welles is the closest to my heart.
