Good evening fellow traders!

Would anyone be so kind as to give me some direction or point me in the right way? I've been consuming as much material as is available for free on the internet and I am wary of paying for a course unless recommended by any of you guys.

I just finished reading "Trading in the Zone" and will begin again in a couple of days as I really want to internalize the concepts the author brings and I think the psychology portion of trading is what will come most natural to me. On the other hand as someone with no experience with any sort of interaction with the market I have been finding that to be the first of many walls I have hit and look to get across it as soon as possible.

I've been taking the "art of trading" free course online and it has been exceptionally helpful in teaching some of the basic theory and terminology but already in lesson 3 things are getting a bit confusing. To compound the issue I downloaded NinjaTrader to check it out and was left even more confused.

Any direction would be greatly appreciated... I'm a rookie but one eager to learn just looking for the right knowledge.

Simply open an account and start trading and figuring it out for yourself, that's the absolute best advice possible.

Don't buy any systems or indicators or courses.

Do more of what works each day and less of what doesn't work.

This sounds super vague and unhelpful, but it's the truth.

Hey there guys

I'm really excited to have found a forum that welcomes in newcomers. Let me give you a bit of background about myself.

I'm a young married man who has been living hand to mouth for too long. I've never really tried to do anything that I would consider a get rich quick scheme and I know.this isn't one of those either.

Day trading seems to offer a level of financial freedom whilst doing something you love (albeit if you put in the hard work) but besides the financial allure something about trading just drives me crazy in a good way of course. Seeing videos of people live trading win or lose really makes me want to start trading as soon as possible.

Of course I know nothing about the stock market and that's why I was drawn to check out day trading academy and actually have a call with them scheduled in about two hours. I have no problem paying to learn but up to 3K I want to be damn sure about it.

What say you guys? Is there a more effective way to learn that will teach you to read the market and not rely on indicators and software as DTA claim?

Thanks in advance,

D14

Above quoted from your forum introduction post.

Do not purchase any system or training. It's all a bunch of bullshit from people who don't know how to trade.

NOTHING can teach you how to read and trade the markets other than your personal experience, screen time, and your pnl.

Take the 3k and open a trading account and get to learning.

@Dalton14 the only advice I can give is to become an Elite member of futures.io. You will gain access to much more content with what I believe are professional full time traders for a considerably modest fee.

Alright fair enough I can roll with that. Any direction on how to begin to understand how to use NinjaTrader and get started, I've read you can sim trade to start maybe that would be the place to start.
