What another weird, wonderful, wacko-wacked out week on Tha-Street

FED raises the interest rate again, but the market goes happy for 24-hours!

Cramer takes a vacation at the worse possible time, but it figures

The more I enjoy Tha-Street and CNBC, the more I believe in the Chaos Theory to every damn thang

Jamais vu!

Here in Georgia, state politics, thankfully, grows nastier--(Dear gawd, puh-leaze, at their debates they go "Korean" politics and have fistfights, puh-leaze, puh-leaze, purty puh-leaze)--I particularly love it seeing a professional Christian Bible Thumper one of the more nasty delightfully mean spirits!

My county near Atlanta has opted to be the furst official Tree-Free County in the state, which is better than being another Bird Sanctuary county...I enjoy watching developers build more and more cluster over-price communities and people stand in line to buy, buy, buy--I will be so glad when the developers and whoring politicians nuke the mountains so we can have more cluster communities and box stores--a big booyah! for sociopathic Capitalism!

Wal-Mart is building its furst Wal-Mart City: people will be born in a Wal-Mart hospital, live, shop, make a living within the Wal-Mart bubble...When they die, they will be buried in the Wal-Mart cemetery...I thought this was a joke until I see them putting the finishing touches on this bubble and the city within...People are gah-gah about it!

They're tapping our phones and recording our bank transactions. They're using this in the excuse of terrorism. What a crock of crap.

Bush must think everyone is as stupid as the ones that voted for him. LOL

Do you feel violated? Do you feel like you're being watched?

Imagine, Oliver Stone has bought Master Cramer's book "Confessions of a Street Addict" for "Wall Street II"...

I see Bill Murray as Master Cramer

Sharon Stone as "the Trading Goddess" (wife)

His nemesis has to be Michael Douglas, who, alas, I do not see as Cramer

Oh, for an episode of "Law & Order" how 'bout this TV hyper stock picking guru who is murdered--Should it be the Wed or Sun nite version of the show?

Your turn...

Have you noticed how the credits at the end of even el cheapo movies now go on about as long as the movie? Compare a movie today with one of the 30's, 40's...

Tip iffen you want to see what male stars are gay: in the credits note the gender of his "Assistant to Mr. John Doe"--if the assistant is female, then this is his cutie at the time the movie was made--if male, well, Mr. Doe is gay

If I could get to Oliver Stone to make "Wall Street II," I would have him hire Tom Cruise to do the character Cruise played in "Collectual" to kill legally on Wall Street

I love movie mistakes: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&l...ES&btnG=Search

Is it just me, but have you ever wondered a problem with Wal-Mart might be same store sells suck, because now Wal-Mart seems eager to cannabalize same store sells by building as if Wal-Mart is a giant convenience store feeding off its other nearby stores?

I learned this week not to let a small butcher knife fall into the sink's garbage disposal and forget the knife...When you turn on the disposal and are looking down into the drain, wow--talking 'bout a sharp stick in the ol' eye...A good unit can be a real knife thrower--and when a knife whizzes by in the wee hours you certainly don't need coffee to get going...Wonder if Consumer Report might consider adding "Butcher Knife in Garbage Disposal" as something to rate?

Bill Gates retirement will go on longer than Barbra Streisand--gawd almighty, big shots and stars note: RETIRE WITH THE FREAKING CLASS JOHNNY CARSON DID, FOR GAWD SAKE!! JEZZ! GET-OFF-THE-DAMN-STAGE AND STAY OFF!!

Here in Ga the governor's race is beginning to get nasty and I am so loving it! Nothing like one scumbag calling a fellow scumbag a scumbag...I just hope we have some physical fights like they do in Korea's parlament! I so would love for that to catch on over here--and say, if we can legalize abortion, why can't we legalize dueling at least if the duelers are whores--oops, sorry, politicans--This would be the best imagineable type of term limits

Still love the Fair Tax and wish you did, too...Or at least give it a fair hearing by checking out fairtax.org

Have a nice week and maybe the FED chief will get laryngitis long enough for me to get out of the market with some dignity

I know judging by the title of this thread it sounds like it might be about discussing futures. But, I am starting this to vent about a peeve of mine.

Like many of you I follow, and have follwed, the price of crude per barrel for over a year now. For quite some time there seemed to exist a linear correlation between the price of gasoline and the price of crude. If crude went up a dollar, gasoline would be up 10 cents (hypothetical example).

But lately, there seems to be a disproportionate increase in the price of gasoline relative to crude. If crude goes up 27 cents per barrel gasoline will increase 33 cents per gallon (actually happened). This is just one instance where I have noted, mentally, this disproportionate increase.

I'm not naive to the partial independence of gasoline from crude oil due to refinery shortages or scarce supply of ethanol. But, this seems like a substantial increase, dare I say gouge?

Another thing that irritates the hell out of me is the rate at which these prices increase. Gas will jump 30 cents a gallon in a day if oil is up a buck but no one came to change the gasoline in the ground that day. I asked a station owner about this phenomenon and he said he recieves notice from, in this case Marathon, on what to charge. But my understanding is that is the floor. He can charge higher if the owner across the street decides to as well. This is why you see the rates higher typically around highway exits. Higher demand allows these gas stations to engage in collusion.

But back to the rate of increase. What bothers me is it will jump 30 cents a gallon in a day, but may take all week for the price to come back down. Even with oil tumbling I saw stations around here charging $2.95 for 87 octane. They're real quick to jack up the price but when it comes to lowering it...eh, that can wait. These ppl are a bunch of asses.

There ought to be a proportionate relationship between the price of the futures and the price at the pump. These ppl are making a killing being lazy in changing the signs to the downside but jacking them up at the first sneeze of some sheik.

So what are prices where you live? I'm in SW Ohio and it's on average 2.82 with $2.95 being the highest and $2.76 the lowest. It should be coming down with oil tumbling since these ar the same prices of petrol when oil was above $70/barrel, but don't hold your breath waiting for these crooks to lower it.

(1) Have in my will, every LEGAL citizen in Amnesia at the moment of my death would receive $1 million dollars, so our weasel illegal loving whoring politicians could fully enjoy the tsunami of illegals about to hit our shores

(2) To farther help our politicians, I would make the million dollars contingent upon the Fair Tax being passed to really strip them of their access to the lobbyist money bags

(3) In honor of not having an April 15th qua April 15th as Tax Day, Amnesians would be forced to demand April 15th be designated as "Rev. Ken Lay Day" (since this is his DOA--oops, sorry, DOB--My mistake) and be made a federal holiday--Hey, look, since a good Capitalist is sociopathic by nature then what in heck am I suppose to do since moi is at the top of food chain?! Rev. Lay is an honor to all us Capitalist, except he got caught--but he did not rat out anyone--but, I guess the case could be made he had no one to rat out being at the top--Anyway, Capitalism is better than napalm in morning, I do swear...

(4) Upon my death, I would have my super fine collection of blackmail material on everyone in power published on the internet (Remember ol' dress wearing J. Edgar Hoover had such a mighty fine collection he owned Washington, hot damn, gotta love him)

(5) I will want to be cremated and my ashes secretly spread about in Las Vegas's biggest gambling casino, just because I can do it and it seems sorta useless, but for a million dollars who will care?!

I know some folks have had some pain with commodities the last month. Dollar is strengthening, and the Fed is on seek and destroy with inflation. Taken just on its own numbers, the US economy is doing well depsite some points of fundemental weakness. This all ignores the 800lb gorrilla in the room that costs us something like 6 billion a month: Iraq. As tempting as it might be to politize here, let's focus on the money. And to me, things look a lot like the late 70s. There is a convergence of bad threads, most of which have yet to really take affect. An unpopular war, lack of faith in govt/economy, increasing trade def, increasing budget def, looming inflation, and a loss of international interest in our debt/bonds. Very gloom and doom i agree, but i also know some people made large sums of money in the late 70s. Perhaps by learning from thier actions, and drawing corelations to today's world, we can protect those close to us.

I need to know if anyone here finds the forum too slow, or slower than other forums you have visited. I need to know because if there are speed issues for some users, I will move to an even faster server. Things are quiet around now, as they are for every market pullback, so now is a good time to get ready for the next bull run. Does anyone else beside me find the forum slower around rush hour, between 4 and 6?

I've watched both X-men & The DaVinci Code. I liked both movies. I thought X-men "The Last Stand" was about the best PG-13 movie I've ever seen. It makes me happy when Hollywood makes good movies because this puts a little dent in our trade deficit. Additionally, I don't feel ripped off when I leave the theatre.

I was listening to CNBC and China's favorite search site allows them to download movies for free. This is why Google isn't doing well in Asia. I was upset by this because it's like China's government is anti-capitalist. I was thinking they came a long way; e.g., I was happy when I heard that China was not allowing PCs to be manufactured and sold with MS Office products that had been illegally coppywritted for free. However, they're still allowing its citizens to download all our movies for free. It's pretty sad that we're so upset about Mexicans leaving their families to come work hard for low wages when it seems China is getting one over on us.

Free trade or capitalism doesn't work without having a good moral or ethical center - Kudlow was preaching about this yesterday. I think our government needs to be tighter, and charge China a tariff on all incoming products. This would teach them how to become more honest capitalists. Yes, this would make us pay a little more for their products too. I just dont think we should let other countries take advantage of our system. What do you think about this?
